Let’s Start At The Beginning – Who Are You?…

“Let’s Start At The Beginning – Who Are You?…”

One problem I see often with people who get into business for themselves is that they just jump jump in1 Lets Start At The Beginning Who Are You?…in head first and get busy doing  things  and after a while (if they don’t quit) they get overwhelmed, stressed and get no results.  This can be due to them doing things that are not aligned with their behavioural style or their strengths. The starting point is that you need to find out who you are and what you are good at. This article is going to show you how to do that.

This is where to start…

Here is an important message you need to know before we get into it. Everything you need is already within you.  That’s right, I am going to repeat it – EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS ALREADY WITHIN YOU. You don’t need to look to gurus, products or books for the secret to success because you already have it….ITS YOU.

Okay, lets discover the real you. What you are going to do is a profile called a DISC-profile.   Now, DISC is an acronym for Decisive, Interactive, Stability and Cautious. I am not going to go into detail as everything you need to know is covered in the report that you will receive. In a nutshell, the profile will help you understand your behavioural style and how to maximise your potential.  The key thing to note with this is that there are no right or wrong answers. Take your time doing the profile, be honest with your answers and read the report that you can instantly download. This profile is free and is done on Anthony Robbins website so click here once you have finished reading the rest of this article and complete the profile.

What’s next?…..

Your strengths are what’s next.  You need to know what your strengths are so you can focus on what you are good at.  So often we look at our flaws and spend most of our time trying to improve these, instead of putting our time into our strengths. Now I am not saying we should ignore our weakness but we should focus more of our attention on what we are good at.

The reality is that everyone has weakness and I mean EVERYONE.  I read a great book called ‘Self-Confidence’ by Paul McGee and these words hit home for me “We are flawed and fantastic”.  If we accept this of ourselves and of others then it makes life so much easier.  Listen we all get frustrated and annoyed with certain people and that can have a lot to do with our behavioural style (which you will uncover in the DISC-profile).

Now to identify your strengths here is another free resource you can use.  It’s a test done through Penn University. The one you want to do is the ‘VIA Survey of Character Strengths’.  It tests 24 strength characteristics and puts them in order with your ‘Top Strength’ being at the top (which makes sense). Once you have finished reading this article and completed the DISC-profile click here to access the strengths test.

If for some reason you think that since the resources in this article are free they are of no value then you are wrong.  The insights that you receive will save you time and money.

Once you have completed these two tests you have a starting point.  Now, why is a starting treasure map Lets Start At The Beginning Who Are You?…point so important?  If I gave you a treasure map that showed a big ‘X’ where the treasure was buried do you think you could find the treasure?…….. The only way you would is if you knew where you were in relation to the treasure. Now let’s say that ‘X’ on the map is your goals and dreams.  Now if have your starting point, you can plot your course to reach your treasure.

P.S. This is powerful information that will benefit many, please share it with others.
